October 5–Many thanks to everyone who helped with our first collation of the year to honor Fr. Bob’s military retirement on Sat., Oct. 1. It was very exciting to see so many new faces joining the efforts of our club.
October meeting: Join us for our next business meeting on Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in the school library. Following the meeting there will be a guest speaker. We will be discussing and planning for the upcoming months and with our vibrant and busy calendar this fall we want everyone involved in the planning process.
October Service: In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, we are collecting items to benefit our local animal shelter. Boxes are located at the church entrances and will remain there for the entire month. Items requested by the shelter include: canned dog and cat food, Clorox wipes, non-clumping cat litter, and hand disinfecting liquid soap.
PPAC trip: We are hosting a trip to “The King and I” at PPAC on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. We have a block of great seats. Tickets are $66.75 (including a group discount). This is always a fun and popular outing so reserve your tickets early by calling Trish Meegan at (401) 451-2523. Ticket money can be dropped in the collection basket at all Masses or brought to the Parish Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to noon. St. Vincent de Paul Conference
St. Vincent de Paul Conference Food Pantry needs: Coffee, cold cereal, jarred spaghetti sauce, instant potatoes, canned corn and peas, crackers, grape jelly, canned meats, and macaroni & cheese. Please leave your donations in the marked bins at church entrances. Thank you for your generosity.
